Tennessee Bar Association's 2008 Leadership Law program

The Firm is pleased to announce that associate Hanson R. Tipton has been selected to participate in the Tennessee Bar Association's 2008 Leadership Law program. The six-month program is designed to equip Tennessee lawyers with the vision, knowledge, and skills necessary to serve as leaders in their profession and local communities. This year's class of 35 attorneys was chosen from across the state.

Watson, Roach, Batson, Rowell & Lauderback, PLC recently sponsored a hole at the 6th Annual Wesley House Adult & Youth Golf Tournament. Donations from the tournament help with tutoring lessons for inner-city youth, as well as life skills and mentoring. Wesley House Community Center offers an after school learning program for children in grades 1-5, summer program, performing arts and cultural education, and senior care for the community's elderly.

Six members of the firm recently spoke at a seminar designed specifically for Tennessee attorneys who represent municipalities and other government agencies. Topics covered included Medicaid, Workers' Compensation, the Family Medical Leave Act, the Clean Water Act, voting issues and civil rights. Organized by firm member Robert H. Watson, Jr., those speaking included Watson, Jon G. Roach, John T. Batson, Jr., Nathan D. Rowell, Benjamin Lauderback and Reid A. Spaulding.
