Robert Watson Honored by Tennessee Municipal League Risk Management Pool

On Friday, June 20, 2014, the Tennessee Municipal League Risk Management Pool held a ceremony honoring its longtime Chief Trial Counsel, Robert H. Watson, Jr. in Chattanooga, Tennessee.  Many Pool administrators and employees were present, along with many attorneys who practiced with and knew Mr. Watson.  Various speakers shared memories of Mr. Watson, both personally and professionally.  Robert Watson defended members of the TML Risk Management Pool for 30 years, and helped pioneer the defense of governmental entities in civil litigation under federal law, and under the Governmental Tort Liability Act.  During the ceremony, Dawn Crawford, President of the Pool, dedicated the Pool’s conference room to Mr. Watson, and the Pool announced that the library and reading area at the new Municipal Technical Advisory Services (MTAS) building would be dedicated in Robert Watson’s memory.  The ceremony was organized and planned by the TML Risk Management Pool and its President, Dawn Crawford.
