John Batson is a member of Watson, Roach, Batson, Rowell & Lauderback and has been associated with the Firm since 1990. Prior to being associated with the Firm, Mr. Batson was Deputy Law Director for the City of Knoxville from 1986-1990 and Assistant City Attorney for the City of Knoxville from 1984-1986.
Mr. Batson has been licensed in Tennessee since 1982. He graduated from Memphis State University Cecil C. Humphreys School of Law. He graduated with honors from the University of Tennessee with a BA in 1976. He was a member of Phi Sigma Alpha Honor Fraternity.
Mr. Batson was admitted to the Tennessee Bar in 1982. In addition, he has been admitted to the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Tennessee since 1984 and the United States Sixth Circuit Court of Appeals since 1988.
