I have been a member since 2003.  My practice focuses in the area of civil litigation at the pre-trial, trial and appellate levels. A substantial portion of my clients are employers.  I assist them with a variety of matters, such as handbook and policy manual issues, grievance hearings and other pre-litigation circumstances.  Of course, I also defend their interests once litigation commences.  My practice involves the defense of employer/employee-related matters, governmental tort cases and personal injury cases.  A majority of these insurance defense cases involve civil rights claims.  These include employee actions filed against employers and claims filed against law enforcement.  I also frequently defend car accident or other personal injury litigation.

I am admitted to practice in the State of Tennessee, the United States District Court for the Eastern and Middle Districts of Tennessee and the United States Court of Appeals Sixth Circuit.  A substantial portion of my practice focuses on reaching a successful result for my clients in litigated matters in these courts.  I am a member of both the Knoxville Bar Association and the Tennessee Bar Association.

Away from the office I focus my energy on my family.  My wife and I enjoy every minute we can spend with our four children.  I gratefully use my spare time coaching their sporting activities and being outdoors as much as I can.
